That bit in there below about new worksheets for teachers... you'll find them here: https://lnkd.in/grkZhSHDMy role was finalising these resources for publication on the Education Portal. Really satisfying content work!·Proof reading.·Making the page in Silverstripe CMS.·Organising files for the users â lots of files! So how do we group them and link to them with teachersâ ease of use in mind? ·Appealing intro text that clearly explains what you get, in a few scannable words.·Using Photoshop to make that branding banner by repurposing existing visuals and checking clientâs brand guidelines.·Making those drop-shadows for the preview images to the right so they lift from the page.I love doing this stuff on websites.

MODs are a much-beloved experience at #YSE - one that incoming students really look forward to and alumni remember long after they graduate. The New Haven Science-to-Solutions MOD introduces students to tools for understanding and addressing issues facing New Haven and many urban areas today - issues around water management, #urbanforestry, #environmentaljustice, climate mitigation, and wildlife conservation. #yale #urbanclimatesolutions

Are Universities Failing the Accommodations Test? by Simon Lewsenhttps://lnkd.in/gwQVYJisExcerpt: "Iâve been asked, variously, to excuse multiple absences, to redesign assignments at the last minute, to offer additional make-up assignments, to give passing grades to non-existent work, to stream in-person classes on Zoom, to offer one-on-one tutorials outside of class hours, to provide written notes in lieu of missed lectures, to accept email submissions in lieu of class participation, to grade rough drafts in lieu of finished products, to extend deadlines, to extend deadlines again, and then to extend them one more time..."My Dog Ate My Homework https://lnkd.in/gxzZdhyX Image by R. The innocence and unbridled enthusiasm of 2nd graders remind me of the magic and wonder that can be found in the world of education, making it a truly fulfilling and inspiring vocation. Their energy and curiosity drive me to create engaging and dynamic lessons that cater to their ever-evolving interests. Second graders also teach me valuable lessons about patience, adaptability, and the power of encouragement, as they embark on the incredible adventure of exploring the world of knowledge.

Day 2 with Illume Learning and Katie Novak, Ed.D. To build our campfire we need our shared vision of inclusive education to spark the flame, knowledge and understanding of what this looks like to fuel the fire and enduring commitment to feed the flames. These 4 x key levers are non-negotiables:Effective Instructional PracticesHigh-Quality Instructional MaterialsData SystemsTiered SupportDonât forget, if a student already knows the goal/outcome you are about to teach, this is also a barrier to learning! Planning for all learners will also include (and challenge) our learners working beyond stage outcomes. These systems, frameworks and strategies are for all.

Going back to school? Maybe taking smaller-sized "chunks" can help you get a degree that works for you. My thoughts here:https://lnkd.in/gKQq-7b9Thanks again to Peter Matthews & Firehouse for publishing this Higher Education article!#firehouse#firefighting#ProfessionalDevelopment#firehousemagazine

Starting with Spring semester 2024 we have some exciting new options in our Building Automations Systems (BAS) classes, made possible thanks to a generous grant from Johnson Controls (JCI), including an all-new course called BAS Fire & Alarm Systems. oPeople who are new to the field⊠recent high school grads, those recently separated from the military, career changers, and the like⊠will be eligible for 100% free tuition, thanks to the JCI grant. oTechs with experience in Building Automation, HVAC, boiler operations, building maintenance and the like will be eligible for STIT funding from the State which reduces tuition by 50%!oEvery student who receives funding from JCI, is assigned a mentor from Johnson Controls to help smooth their transition into the field of Building Automation Systems. oIn addition, everyone who gets the JCI funding will be slotted into an internship at JCI or another prominent local employer. As a part of this Capstone Project everyone else will take part in an externship or a research project at their own company. oFunding from Johnson Controls has also made possible a half-dozen Desktop Training Units that will allow students to control building systems using programmable controls and instantly see if their code worked.Registration is available now.For interested parties, thereâs three easy steps:1.Create a profile here: https://lnkd.in/gDH7S4QG 2.Register for classes here: https://lnkd.in/g5RgxpBW3.Before paying, contact me so we can sort out whether youâre eligible for JCI grant money or STIT funding.
