Why people tend to honor those who are already honored? There are a few reasons, rooted in both social psychology and logic, why people tend to honor those who are already honored:Social Proof: Humans are social creatures and we rely on the behavior of others to guide our own actions. This is called social proof. If many people respect someone, it suggests to others that this person must be worthy of respect. This can be seen in things like celebrity endorsem*nts or following fashion trends. #SocialPsychology #SocialInfluenceBandwagon Effect: Closely related to social proof is the bandwagon effect. People are more likely to join a bandwagon, or go along with the crowd, if they see others doing the same thing. In the case of honoring someone, the more people who honor them, the more it seems like the "right" thing to do. #BandwagonEffectCredibility and Legitimacy: Recognition and honor from others lends credibility and legitimacy to someone's achievements or position. If someone is already honored, it suggests their accomplishments are real and significant. This can be seen in academic awards or prestigious job titles. #Credibility #LegitimacyValidation: People often seek validation for their beliefs and opinions. If someone they respect honors another person, it can feel like validation of their own judgment. #ValidationIt's important to note that this tendency doesn't always lead to the best decisions. Someone might be honored for the wrong reasons, or people might blindly follow the crowd without critical evaluation. It's always good to use your own judgment when considering whether someone deserves honor.Pushpahas Singh Rattanbir Singh

That’s a thoughtful piece of advice. It emphasizes the importance of surrounding yourself with individuals who will advocate for you and recognize your potential, especially in moments that could lead to growth and success. It’s about building relationships with those who believe in your abilities and are willing to support you when it matters most.

Appreciation is a powerful force that fuels motivation and inspires individuals to go above and beyond. When we take the time to acknowledge and express our gratitude for someone's efforts, it not only uplifts their spirits but also encourages them to continue striving for excellence.By showing appreciation, we convey to others that their contributions and hard work have not gone unnoticed. It validates their efforts and instills a sense of pride and fulfillment. When individuals feel valued and appreciated, they are more likely to surpass expectations and exceed their own limits.Gratitude is a gift that keeps on giving. It fosters a positive and supportive environment where people feel recognized and valued. The act of appreciating others creates a ripple effect, inspiring them to pass on the same appreciation to others. It creates a cycle of positivity and encouragement that can transform relationships and organizations. So, let us remember the immense power of appreciation and make it a habit to express our gratitude to those around us. Whether it is a simple thank you, a heartfelt note, or a public recognition, let us never underestimate the impact it can have on others. Together, let us embrace the gift of appreciation and inspire each other to reach new heights.

When you make a habit of giving credit to others for their ideas and contributions, it tends to have a positive effect on you as well. By acknowledging and mentioning the name of the person who came up with an idea, or by praising someone for their hard work, you build a good reputation for yourself within the team. This can lead to others also giving you credit and recognition whenever you contribute something valuable.#positivemindset #acknowledgement #recognition #contribution

Great leaders lift up those around them. Not everyone is used to this, I've had teams initially suspicious of me when I have raised them up and supported their growth - they weren't used to it. I've also had managers who have questioned why I'm promoting the development of my teams 🤯 I'm extremely proud of all the people I have found, mentored and managed over the years. They have continued to blossom and are doing amazing things.Leaders always lift their teams and enable their people to do great things.Poor, middle managers (or want to be managers) who are out of their depth control teams, claim their successes and hold them back from achieving great things. In doing so, they damage the individual, the team and the business. #shameWhen businesses focus on digital transformations they often forget about people transformations. If you don't have leaders (in title or behaviour) who back people, and most importantly trust each other, you don't have any teams and that's bad for business. #buildingstrongteams #peopleareyourbusiness #growth #ceo #coo #designyourbusiness #digitaltransformation
